In their last game, Afghanistan thrashed Papua New Guinea by seven wickets. Fazalhaq Farooqi took 3-16 as Afghanistan bowled them out for 95 runs.

The pitch was not easy to bat on, but Afghanistan had more than enough quality to see them through. Gulbadin Naib top scored with 49 runs as they chased the total in just over 15 overs.
