Australia have won five of their last six Test matches against the West Indies. The opening test of this series went the way of Australia by 164 runs in Perth.
Australia Form
Australia won the first Test in Perth by 164 runs against the West Indies. Batting first, they declared on 598 runs after Marnus Labuschagne scored 204 runs and Steven Smith 200*.
The West Indies were then bowled out for 283 with Pat Cummins taking 3-34 in just over 20 overs. The hosts then declared on 182 runs as Labuschagne scored his second century of the match (104*).
With the West Indies needing 498 for victory, and more than a day to bat out a draw, Australia bowled them out in just under 111 overs for 333 runs. Nathan Lyon took 6-128.
Australia Injuries & Team News
Captain Pat Cummins has been ruled out of the 2nd Test due to injury. Scott Boland will make his return to the Test side.
West Indies Form
The Windies lost the first Test by 164 runs in Perth but came out of the game with much credit. Rather that completely capitulating as they have often done in recent years, they fought to take the game deep into day five.
On a flat deck the Aussies scored a mammoth 598 runs. Kraigg Brathwaite top scored in the first innings with 64 runs as the West Indies totaled 283.
The hosts then raced to 182 in their second innings, leaving the visitors with a chase of 498 runs. Brathwaite was again the standout batsman, scoring 110 runs while Tagenarine Chanderpaul managed 45 runs. Lower down the order Roston Chase scored 55 runs and Alzarri Joseph 43 in a 333-run total.
West Indies Injuries & Team News
The bowlers struggled in Perth, taking only six wickets between them across two innings. Despite that, it is expected that the Windies will go into this match unchanged.

Verdict
It is a tough choice between Steven Smith and Marnus Labuschagne in the run scoring markets. I am going with Labuschagne due to his century in each innings of the first Test.
For the West Indies, there is no looking past their captain, Kraigg Brathwaite. He was sensational in the first Test and is backed to continue that form.
