Ashes 2023 Player Prop Odds – Big support for Ollie Pope in runscorer market

Ollie Pope has attracted plenty of support to be the top runscorer in the 2023 Ashes series, the bookmakers have revealed.
Although both Steve Smith and Joe Root remain solid at the head of the betting ahead of Friday’s start, Pope has attracted support in recent days.
He is now 7/1 with Coral to head the scoring charts in the series, behind only 5/2 Smith and 11/4 Root.
“Ollie Pope has been progressing really well of late, and his double hundred against Ireland at Lords showed that he’s right at the top of his game,” Coral’s Lewis Knowles told FreeTips.com.
“The Australian attack will obviously pose a very different threat to that of the Irish, but it’s no surprise to see punters spotting the value in Pope’s price.”
The top wicket taker market is headed up by Australia captain Pat Cummins, at 10/3, with Ollie Robinson and Nathan Lyon joint second favourites at 4/1.
“The top wicket taker market is much trickier to get a handle on with both sides likely to rotate their bowling attacks throughout the series,” Knowles added.
“Somebody like Nathan Lyon should bowl a lot of overs, so 4/1 looks a reasonable price for him, but Pat Cummins is solid at the head of the market, and the Australian captain looks set for a good summer.”
