Australia finished second in Group D after wins over West Indies and Scotland. They did lose to Sri Lanka which ensured they went through as a second seed.

The Aussies batted superbly in the quarter-final against Pakistan in North Sound. Teague Wylie scored 71 runs while Corey Miller added 64. Campbell Kellaway also chipped in with a useful 47 as Australia posted a commanding 276.

Pakistan never really threatened as William Salzmann took 3-38 for Australia. The Pakistani side could only manage 157, 119-run defeat.

Other than their defeat to Sri Lanka, Australia’s batsmen have shown some good form. I expect the same side to lineup against India.
