The bottom two teams in the Vincy Premier T10 League, Fort Charlotte Strikers face off against Dark View Explorers in the 5th place playoff on Saturday in Kingstown. In a tough match to call with both teams having had poor seasons I’m leaning towards the Strikers.

The Fort Charlotte Strikers have been poor throughout the Vincy Premier T10 League. They’ve achieved a grand total of one victory in their eight matches but that one win did come against the Dark View Explorers.
In their last match the Strikers batted first in Kingstown against top of the table The La Soufriere Hikers. They posted a total of 81 runs which was always a bit below par as Ronald Scott top scored with 27 runs.
The rain shortened the Hikers chase as they needed a total of 42 runs in five overs – a total they achieved with comfort in 3.4 overs for the loss of only one wicket.
What will give the Strikers confidence is their match prior to that ended in victory over the Explorers by 17 runs.

While there may be a temptation to change things considering the match is a dead rubber, it is unlikely we’ll see wholesale changes.
Dark View Explorers Form
The Dark View Explorerers have not fared much better than the Strikers in the Vincy Premier T10 League. They have achieved two victories in their seven matches which has placed them in 5th place on the table.
Their last round robin match happened to be against the Fort Charlotte Strikers in Kingstown. The Strikers scored 92-3 in 10 overs as the Explorers bowlers struggled to contain them. In the chase the Explorers fell woefully short by 17 runs, a big margin for T10 cricket.
No one managed to score more than 19 runs as they lost seven wickets in the process. A far better performance will be required from the Explorers if they are to end the season on a high.
