They upset the odds with a three-run victory against South Africa in the opener before beating Bangladesh by 7 wickets in their last match.

Sri Lanka restricted Bangladesh to 126/8 in the first innings. Sri Lanka’s reply was a good one indeed as Harsitha Samarawickrama top-scored with an unbeaten 69. She got brilliant support from Nilakshi de Silva who chipped in with 41 as the target was chased down in relative comfort.

Sri Lanka will not be looking to change up their team after such a good start and they will be wary of the quality of the opposition they are facing.

Australia have been simply superb in the World Cup so far and have lived up to their reputation of being tournament favourites.

Australia beat New Zealand by 97 runs in the opening fixture before cantering home by 8 wickets against Bangladesh in their next match.

A dominant bowling display restricted Bangladesh to just 107/7 in the first innings. Star batters Meg Lanning and Alyssa Healy top scored with 48 and 37 respectively as Australia cruised to their target in 18.2 overs.

The Aussies will look to cement their place in the knockout as soon as possible and will look to stick with their strongest team again.

Verdict

The Australians should win this easily with Meg Lanning and Alyssa Healy proving to be just too good once again with the bat.
