European Championship History


The PDC European Championship began in 2008 at the Südbahnhof in Frankfurt, Germany with £200,000 prize money. The tournament has been played in Germany, Netherlands and Belgium.

Phil Taylor won thefirst four European Championships before Simon Whitlock won the title in 2012. Adrian Lewis beat Whitlock in the 2013 final.

Michael van Gerwen won the first of four consective tournaments in 2014. In 2018 James Wade won the title and Rob Cross was victorious in the 2019 European Championship.
