Phil Taylor won the first four PDC European Championship titles. Michael van Gerwen has also won four times from 2014 to 2017.

Rob Cross is the defending champion after winning in 2021.

European Darts Championship History


The PDC European Championship began in 2008 at the Südbahnhof in Frankfurt, Germany with £200,000 prize money. 

The tournament has been played in Germany, Netherlands and Belgium and moves to Austria in 2021.

Phil Taylor won the first four European Championships before Simon Whitlock won the title in 2012. Adrian Lewis beat Whitlock in the 2013 final.

Michael van Gerwen won the first of four titles tournaments in 2014. In 2018 James Wade won the title and Rob Cross was victorious in the 2019 European Championship.
