Dirk van Duijvenbode vs Glen Durrant Tips & Live Stream - Go Dutch at the Ally Pally

We provide our tips for the fourth-round match between Dirk van Duijvenbode and Glen Durrant at the PDC World Darts Championships on Wednesday 30th December.

This kind of game always makes for fascinating viewing. One player is explosive and emotional, the other is steady and consistent. He may be a World Championship debutante, and he's playing against a three-time BDO World Champ, but I'm going to back DIRK VAN DUIJVENBODE to come out on top.

Durrant really stepped up on his second-round performance in the last round against Danny Baggish. For three sets, Durrant comfortably averaged 102, and looked solid on the outer ring. Yet, whether due to nerves or a drop in concentration, Durrant opened the door for the American to come back. Baggish reeled off sets four and five, before Durrant edged a nervy final leg decider in the sixth set to win 4-2.

Van Duijvenbode, on the other hand, got better as his third-round match with Adam Hunt went on. The Dutchman ended the match with a superb average of 104, and a 4-0 victory in the bag. 

Dirk has already knocked out a World Champion in Rob Cross, so Durrant's history in tournaments of this stature won't phase him. If Van Duijvenbode plays like he did in round three, then I don't think Glen Durrant will be able to stick with him.
