Luke Littler has been the star of the 2024 World Championship and I'm backing the fairytale to continue on New Year's Day. I think he can dominate and cover the handicap against a man more than three times his age.

Reigning World Youth Champion Luke Littler has made a huge impact on his World Championships debut.

"The Nuke" dumped out former BDO winner Christian Kist 3-0 in the first round and recorded a stunning average of 106 in the process on his Ally Pally debut.

The 16-year-old backed that up by defeating Andrew Gilding in the second round, although he had to work harder to progress courtesy of a 3-1 win.

In the third round, Littler was at it again with a 4-1 victory over Matt Campbell as he averaged 97.19 in the win. He then produced a stunning 105.01 average in a 4-1 victory over Raymond van Barneveld.

Brendan Dolan has thrown some excellent darts so far during this World Championships.

"The History Maker" enjoyed an unexpectedly thrilling victory over countryman Mickey Mansell in his opening match, before dumping former winner Gerwyn Price unceremoniously out of the tournament.

Dolan averaged 95 during that 4-2 victory over Price, winning final-leg deciders in all four of his sets. The 50-year-old then won a thriller with Gary Anderson, winning the final two sets in a 4-3 victory.
