The Queen Of The Palace will make her first appearance of the 2025 PDC World Darts Championships on Tuesday evening, as Fallon Sherrock faces Ryan Meikle in Round One.

The winner of Tuesday's match will go on to face tournament favourite, Luke Littler on December 21st.

The lefty from Suffolk has managed to maintain his World Ranking over the past 12 months, without making it past the fifth round of any tournament on the floor. "The Barber" did claim his biggest televised victory when knocking Gary Anderson out of the Players Championship Finals last month, so maybe that win will boost his confidence.

Fallon Sherrock earned her regal nickname with a breathrough performance at the 2022 World Championships. Fallon became the first female player to win on the Ally Pally stage when defeating Ted Evetts in Round One, and went on to beat Mensur Suljovic before going out to Chris Dobey in Round Three.

The 30-year-old has suffered first round exits in her last three World Championship appearances, losing 3-2 to Steve Beaten, and 3-1 to both Ricky Evans and Jermaine Wattimena. Sherrock was beaten 6-3 by Beau Greaves in the final of the Women's World Matchplay over the summer, and has since gained some creditable results on the Modus Super Series.

Fallon Sherrock hasn't been at her best during 2024 and has suffered three Round One defeats in a row at the World Championships.

Ryan Meikle has a history of knocking women out of this tournament, having seen of Lisa Ashton in the opening round 12 months ago. He'll be able to cope with the pressure from the crowd and should play well enough to advance into Round 2.
