Peter Wright beat Nathan Aspinall 7-3 in Week 5 with a 110.00 average. 'Snake Bite' took part in the UK Open where he defeated Glen Durrant and Ian White before being knocked out by Daryl Gurney in the Last 16. 

Wright has a 17-10 advantage over Smith in the head to head with two draws. Snake Bite won 11-10 in the PDC Masters Final before Smith turned the tables with a 7-5 victory in the Belgian Darts Championship Semi-final.

Daryl Gurney has failed to win a match in the 2020 Premier League Darts, but has drawn twice including a 6-6 result against Rob Cross in Week 5. 'SuperChin' registered 10-9 wins against Keegan Brown and Willie O Connor at the UK Open before beating Peter Wright 10-6 in the Last 16 and Jelle Klaasen 10-9 in the Quarter-final. Gurney took on Michael van Gerwen in the Semifinals where he suffered a 11-3 defeat.

Glen Durrant beat Gerwyn Price 7-3 in Week 5 to move top of the Premier League Darts table. 'Duzza' had a bad draw at the UK Open, paired against Peter Wright in the Last 64 where he was knocked out after a 10-8 loss. 

These players have met four times and are split 2-2. Their last match was won 4-2 by Glen Durrant in the 2019 PDC World Championship Last 32.

Michael van Gerwen suffered his second defeat in the 2020 Premier League, going down 7-4 to Michael Smith in Week 6 but bounced back in style. 'Mighty Mike' won the UK Open after defeating Nathan Aspinall, Jason Lowe, James Wade, Rob Cross, Daryl Gurney and Gerwyn Price.
