2021 UK Open Darts Draw


The 2021 UK Open Darts draw sees 64 player enter in the first round with the 32 winners joining the 32 players in the second. The 32 winners in the second round join another 32 players in the third round.

The 32 winners in the third round are joined by players ranked 1-32 in the PDC Order of Merit in the fourth round. The draw is random from the fourth round until the final.

  • All matches in the First, Second and Third rounds are best of 11 legs.
  • All matches in the Fourth, Fifth, Sixth rounds and Quarter-finals are best of 19 legs.
  • All matches in the Semi-finals and Final are best of 21 legs.

Phil Taylor won the first UK Open in 2003 and went on to win five titles. Raymond van Barneveld won in 2006 and 2007, James Wade in 2008 and 2011 and Michael van Gerwen won in 2015, 2016 and 2020. 

Michael van Gerwen is the defending champion after beating Gerwyn Price 11-9 in the final. It was Van Gerwen's third UK Open title and first since 2016.

UK Open Darts History


The UK Open darts tournament began in 2003 and took place in June each year at the Reebok Stadium in Bolton, England. In 2014 the UK Open moved to Butlin's Resort in Minehead, England.

Phil Taylor beat Shayne Burgess in the 2003 final, the first of his five UK Open titles. Taylor achieved a perfect nine-dart finish four times at the UK Open (2004, 2005, 2007 & 2008). Mervyn King (2010), Gary Anderson (2012), Wes Newton (2013) and Michael van Gerwen (2016) are the other players to achieve a nine-dart leg.

The 2018 UK Open was played behind closed doors due to extreme weather conditions jeapordising the safety of fans.
