Both teams started the stage well, namely Miami Heretics, who picked up two victories against the Los Angeles Thieves and LA Guerrillas M8. C9NY, on the other side, defeated Vegas Falcons, but were far less effective against Toronto Ultra.

Miami Heretics placed fourth in CDL 2025 Major 3, following a close 2-3 loss against Toronto Ultra. Since the Major, the Heretics have played two games – against Los Angeles Thieves and LA Guerrillas M8 and won both games on map five.

With those results, the Spanish squad are 8-3 from their last 11 games, which is promising. They also defeated LA Thieves, which is extremely promising, especially considering they outclassed them on Search & Destroy and Hacienda-Hardpoint.

On the other hand, their win against the Guerrillas was a bit too close for comfort.

Overall, Miami Heretics are in an excellent spot and appear to be the best Search & Destroy team outside of FaZe.

Cloud9 New York enter this match as underdogs, which is understandable. They've had some moments this season, but have proven too inconsistent to pick up victories against tougher opponents, which in part has to do with their iffy slaying.

Miami Heretics, on the other hand, are on a roll. While they have not been dominating, the Heretics have been picking up wins left and right, even taking down the likes of LA Thieves. They're excellent on Search & Destroy and can hold their own on other game modes.

Their map pool is still a bit iffy, so I can give Cloud9 New York a map, but anything more is unlikely.
