Vancouver Surge Form

Vancouver Surge are fresh off another grand final run at the last Major. However, like in CDL 2025 Major 3, Surge collapsed in Major 4 finals, losing 0-4 against the Los Angeles Thieves.

Up to the grand finals, the Surge looked excellent, so while seeing them collapse in key games is not too inspiring, the Surge are one of the more consistent teams in the league.

Since Major 2, Surge have lost just five games – three against LA Thieves and two against Atlanta FaZe. Outside of the two top dogs, no team managed to take a game off the Surge.

Despite the disappointing seventh-eighth-place finish in CDL 2025 Major 3, OpTic Texas decided not to make any roster changes for Stage 4.

This was a weird call, especially the decision to keep Skyz, who has not been playing well this season, especially of late, with a 0.89 and 0.82 K/D in the Stage 3 qualifiers and on LAN, respectively.

With no roster changes, OpTic Texas are unlikely to improve, which is very concerning, seeing how they’ve managed just one victory over the last six games.
