The Turkish suqad enter the Major with some promising results under their belts. They placed third in PGL Astana 2025 and ended their Intel Extreme Masters Dallas 2025 campaign in fifth-sixth.

While that looks promising, it is important to note that Aurora Gaming have not beaten many good teams over that stretch – their most notable victory came against MongolZ in PGL Astana.

FaZe Clan dragged their way through BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025 Stage 2. They started the stage with two dominant victories against HEROIC (13-3) and TYLOO (13-5) but dropped the next two against Legacy (0-2) and 3DMAX (0-2).

In the fifth and final round, FaZe found the traction they needed and swept MIBR (2-0) with 13-4 on Abubis and 16-12 on Ancient to proceed to the third stage of the Major.

FaZe Clan have been very shaky this entire season, so seeing them stumble around in Stage 2 is not too surprising. On the other hand, they deserve praise for their performance against MIBR.

Aurora Gaming v FaZe Clan

FaZe Clan have had their fair share of iffy games this season, even after the addition of s1mple and even during the second stage of the Major. But they have had high highs, proving that FaZe can perform at a very high level on a good day.

Aurora Gaming are not to be underestimated either, having been more consistent than FaZe. Yet they’ve not found much success when faced with good teams.

Given FaZe’s lack of consistency last stage, it is fair to doubt them and their chances to win on Thursday. But it is not like consistency is one of Aurora’s strengths either.

This should be a close and entertaining game.
