ENCE and Cloud9 last met in August 2023, during Gamers8 2023; however, the two squads have yet to clash on Counter-Strike 2.

Cloud9 formed a new CS lineup in April, signing some of the best CIS pro players in the scene. However, despite forming a very stacked roster, Cloud9 haven’t found much success.

In October, things started to look up, and after the signing of Kirill "Boombl4" Mikhaylov, Cloud9 found even more success, placing top-four at Thunderpick World Championship 2023 and BLAST Premier: Fall Final 2023.

They weren’t as successful as BetBoom Dacha last week, but Cloud9 have recently started producing more inspiring performances, suggesting it’s only a matter of time before they reach their full potential.

At the start of November, Cloud9 signed a new in-age leader Kirill "Boombl4" Mikhaylov, to replace Dmitriy "sh1ro" Sokolov.

ENCE were one of the most consistent CS teams over the 2023 season, but due to the departure of Marco "Snappi" Pfeiffer, it’s fair to start questioning whether ENCE will be as dominant heading forward. They quickly found a replacement in Lukas "gla1ve" Rossander, who took over the IGL duties, but we’ve yet to see much from the new-look lineup.

With the new roster, ENCE attended Elisa Masters Espoo 2023, where they went 2-2 with defeats against HAVU and Apeks. They beat Fnatic and GamerLegion, which counts for something, but the two defeats are somewhat concerning.

Even though ENCE field a fairly stacked roster, the team still has a lot more to prove, especially after their shaky performances at Elisa Masters Espoo 2023.

ENCE v Cloud9

Cloud9 are slowly finding success with the new lineup, which has been together for over a month now. ENCE, on the other side, have only four games with the new in-game leader and they haven’t looked great.

While ENCE are not in the best shape now, this is still a highly talented roster, which can compete against anyone. Their past results aren’t that inspiring, but I’m putting more weight on their potential, which makes ENCE an appealing pick at 2.50.
