Elisa Invitational is a Counter-Strike: Global Offensive tournament series organised by Elisa Esports, a Finnish esports tournament organiser and production company.
Elisa Invitational consists of three tournaments - Elisa Invitational Winter, Elisa Invitational Spring, and Elisa Invitational Summer, leading to the season-culminating Elisa Masters Espoo, which welcomed the top-performing teams from the three events and a handful of invited teams.
All Elisa Invitational tournaments feature 28 Counter-Strike: Global Offensive teams and have a $25,000 prize pool, except for the final event of the circuit, the Elisa Masters Espoo, which welcomed 12 CS:GO teams and had a $200,000 prize pool.
Elisa Masters Espoo was held only once, in 2022, with no announcements about its return in 2023.
The inaugural Elisa Invitational tournament (Elisa Invitational Spring) took place in 2020. It was an eight-team B-Tier event featuring only Nordic squads, including ENCE; North, Dignitas, Nordavind, KOVA, Heroic, GODSENT, and Apeks. The tournament didn’t have a prize pool and only served as a qualifier for BLAST Premier: Spring 2020 European Showdown.
The second iteration of the Elisa Invitational (Elisa Invitational Fall 2020), which took place in October-November 2020, once served as a qualifying event for BLAST Fall Showdown and was the last of its kind. In 2021, Elisa Sports organised the first international Elisa Invitational tournament, which became a part of the new tournament circuit.

Elisa Invitational Tournaments
Since Elisa Invitational Spring 2021, the first international tournament organised by Elisa Sports, there have been 12 separate events, including Elisa Open Suomi, which serve as a qualifying event for Elisa Invitational, and the season-culminating Elisa Masters Espoo 2022.

Elisa Invitational Format
Every Elisa Invitational tournament welcomes 28 teams, which includes mainly CS:GO squads that receive direct invites + six teams who qualify for the event via European and Nordic qualifiers, and the top two teams from Elisa Open Suomi.
The tournament is divided into three stages - Contenders Swiss Stage, Main Swiss Stage, and the Playoffs.
The Contenders Swiss Stage uses a 16-team Swiss system format, where all matches are played as best-of-three (Bo3). Teams that win three games advance to the next stage, while those who lose three games get eliminated, splitting the field in half – with eight teams advancing to the next stage and eight getting eliminated.
The Main SwissStage welcomes the top eight teams from the Contenders Stage and eight invited teams, which get announced in weeks before the stage kicks off. As the Contenders Stage, the Main Swiss Stage uses a 16-team Swiss System format, with all matches played as Bo3.
The top eight teams from the Main Swiss Stage proceed into the Playoffs, where they get seeded into a single-elimination bracket. All games, including the grand finals, are played as best-of-three.
Elisa Invitational Prize Pools
Initially, all Elisa Invitational tournaments had a $100,000 prize pool, but after the tournament circuit change in 2022, the prize pool of each event was reduced to $25,000. However, the winners of the Elisa Invitational regularly receive invites to closed qualifiers for and or LAN events.
The tournament prize pool is divided between the top 12 teams, while the bottom 16 get sent home empty-handed.
- The team finishing first gets $12,500
- The second-placed team wins $3,500
- The third and fourth-placed teams win $1,500 each
- The fifth to ninth-placed teams win $1,000 each
- The ninth to 12th-placed teams win $500 each
- 12th to 28th-placed teams win nothing
