Despite their success earlier this month, FURIA Esports enter this match as underdogs, priced at 2.20 with Stake. On the other side, MOUZ are given a 62.5% probability of winning the series at 1.65, suggesting they're in a great spot to secure a ticket for the grand finals.

Head to Head

MOUZ last met with FURIA Esports in the IEM Rio 2024 group stage when they lost in three maps.

  • FURIA Esports 2-1 MOUZ – October 7, 2024

FURIA Esports Form

FURIA Esports have exceeded expectations at Intel Extreme Masters Rio 2024, having made it to the semifinals of an S-Tier tournament for the first time since YaLLa Compass 2024.

Ahead of attending their local tournament, FURIA Esports have shown some good things, but nothing exceptional. They exited BetBoom Dacha Belgrade 2024 #2 in fifth-sixth place and ESL Pro League Season 20 in 13th-16th.

However, the Brazilian Counter-Strike esports team put their foot on the gas in Rio and defeated FaZe Clan, MOUZ, and even Natus Vincere in the group finals. Given their past results, these accomplishments might be nothing more than a flash in the pan, but there's no denying that FURIA are in excellent form and, until proven otherwise, a threat for the title.

  • Kaike "KSCERATO" Cerato
  • Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo

MOUZ Form

MOUZ have been a bit up and down ahead of their trip to Brazil; however, despite their lack of consistency over the last month, MOUZ made it to the semifinals.

In the group stage, MOUZ struggled a bit early on, with a close victory against paiN Gaming and a 1-2 loss against FURIA Esports. However, MOUZ found more momentum in the lower bracket, and they bested Complexity and FaZe to book a ticket for the playoffs.

In the knockout stage, MOUZ continued with their strong showing and reverse-swept Team Vitality in one of their best showings of the last few weeks. It was a closely contested series, ending with 7-13 on Mirage, 13-11 on Nuke, and 13-10 on Inferno, with Dorian "xertioN" Berman leading the server with a 1.33 performance rating.

MOUZ Squad & Team News

MOUZ have not announced any roster changes.

  • Ádám "torzsi" Torzsás
  • Dorian "xertioN" Berman
  • Kamil "siuhy" Szkaradek
  • Jimi "Jimpphat" Salo
  • Ludvig "Brollan" Brolin

Verdict

MOUZ have seemingly found a lot of traction heading into this match, but the same can be said for FURIA, who've been playing incredibly well in front of their home fans. Even though MOUZ have shown higher highs this season, we can put a bit more weight on the past results, where FURIA Esports come out ahead.

There are cases to be made against FURIA, who have a better win rate on just Nuke and Dust2, not counting Anubis, where FURIA boast a 29% win rate. Nevertheless, FURIA have looked great across any map MOUZ like to play, so there is a good chance the Brazilians to come out ahead.
At plus money, they're a solid pick.
