Esports betting sites have G2 Esports priced as 1.57 favourites to defeat MOUZ, who enter the match as 2.25 underdogs. This is largely due to the fact that G2 Esports have a much higher ceiling, however, neither team looked great over the last few weeks.
- G2 Esports have recently lost against Aurora Gaming and Guild Eagles
- MOUZ are 1-3 across their last four games
- MOUZ will play with a stand-in
Head to Head
MOUZ and G2 Esports have yet to meet on Counter-Strike 2.
MOUZ Form
MOUZ enter BLAST Premier: World Final 2023 following a disappointing run at Elisa Masters Espoo 2023. MOUZ entered the tournament as one of the main candidates to go all the way, yet they failed to deliver, crashing out of the event in fifth-sixth place.
In Espoo, MOUZ didn't even make it out of the group stage, with defeats against Apeks (16-19) and FURIA Esports (2-0); however, they picked up one win against Complexity (2-1).
Since then, MOUZ have parted ways with David "frozen" Čerňanský, who left for FaZe Clan and replaced him with Ludvig "Brollan" Brolin, who'll compete at BLAST Premier: World Final 2023. MOUZ have yet to play a game with Brollan, which isn't optimal and losing their best player isn't great either.
MOUZ Squad & Team News
At the start of the month, MOUZ parted ways with David "frozen" Čerňanský and replaced him with Ludvig "Brollan" Brolin as a temporary substitute.
- Ludvig "Brollan" Brolin
- Ádám "torzsi" Torzsás
- Dorian "xertioN" Berman
- Kamil "siuhy" Szkaradek
- Jimi "Jimpphat" Salo
G2 Esports Form
Like MOUZ, G2 Esports haven't looked great over the last few weeks. They travel to Abu Dhabi following an abysmal performance at CCT Online Finals #5, where G2 Esports beat Fluxo (2-1) and Sprout (2-1) but lost against Guild Eagles (1-2) and Aurora Gaming (1-2).
Before that, G2 Esports did fairly well at Intel Extreme Masters Sydney 2023, where they reached the semifinals. Clearly, G2's core is good enough to compete at the highest level, but seeing the team struggle so much following the roster change is concerning.
It's not like nexa has no pre-established synergy with the rest of the lineup, but as it seems, G2 Esports will need more time to adapt to playing with a new lineup.
G2 Esports Squad & Team News
At the end of November, G2 Esports announced the signing of Nemanja "nexa" Isaković, who replaced Justin "jks" Savage.
- Nemanja "huNter-" Kovač
- Nikola "NiKo" Kovač
- Ilya "m0NESY" Osipov
- Rasmus "HooXi" Nielsen
- Nemanja “nexa” Isaković
Verdict
Neither team has looked great of late; however, it's easy to see why G2 Esports are priced as favourites. They have a much better roster and a significantly higher ceiling than MOUZ, especially following the departure frozen.
Brollan, while a solid player, hasn't been posting great individual performances during his stint with Ninjas in Pyjamas, and now he got added to a new lineup with who he has no official games on record.
G2 Esports can stumble, but they shouldn't be losing games like this.
