Natus Vincere made it through Group B as the second seed, having beaten FURIA (2-0) and The MongolZ (2-1) and lost the final match against Eternal Fire (0-2). Their run through the group stage was a bit under the expectations and it is fair to say that NaVi did not look particularly good in the three series played.

They nearly lost a map against FURIA, needed overtime to edge past MongolZ after getting humiliated on Inferno (1-13), and proved no match for Eternal Fire, who bested them with 13-9, 13-5.

Not the most inspiring display from NaVi who have not been playing this event. They did place top four at BLAST Bounty Spring 2025 and Intel Extreme Masters Katowice 2025 earlier this season before starting to show cracks at ESL Pro League Season 21 (fifth-eighth)

Team Spirit are no.3 seed from Group A, where they slipped very early – against MOUZ (1-2) in the upper bracket semfinals. However, despite that loss, Spirit quickly got back on their feet and swept aside FaZe Clan (2-0) and Virtus.pro (2-0) to book the final ticket for the playoffs.

Besides their loss to MOUZ, Spirit have not looked all that bad, as they continue to show a high degree of consistency this season. Since the turn of the year, Spirit have already won BLAST Bounty Spring 2025, placed second at Intel Extreme Masters Katowice 2025, and reached the semifinals of ESL Pro League Season 21.

With those results, Spirit are up there with Vitality as one of the hottest CS2 teams in the scene. Yet their job is far from done.

Natus Vincere v Team Spirit

Team Spirit have proven themselves as one of the most consistent Counter-Strike 2 teams in the world. Despite their slip-up against MOUZ in the group stage, they remain a threat for the BLAST Open Spring 2025 title.

Natus Vincere arguably should be considered as one of the title contenders if we go by their quality, but they are in shaky form, having struggled against FURIA, The MongolZ, and Eternal Fire.

There is a world where NaVi enter the playoffs better prepared, but I need to see it to believe it.
