Set to kick off on Monday, May 5, BLAST Slam III is the second BLAST Slam tournament of the season and the seventh Tier-1 event on the 2025 Dota 2 esports calendar.

The event will welcome 10 Dota 2 teams who will vie for the lion’s share of the $1,000,000 prize pool, and while Spirit are billed as the team to beat, many other squads in attendance are not to be overlooked.

PARIVISION, Team Falcons, Team Liquid, and Tundra Esports are just a few teams who will want to spoil Team Spirit’s plans, and according to the latest betting odds on the top betting sites, all four have a realistic chance to compete for top spots.

BLAST Slam III is a two-stage Dota 2 esports tournament, set to begin on Monday, May 5, with the group stage.

The 10 participating teams will be divided into two round-robin groups of five, with all games played in a best-of-one (BO1) format.

The group stage will be played out for playoff seeding, with all 10 teams advancing to the final stage of the event.

Playoffs are single-elimination, with all games played as best-of-three (BO3), except for the grand final, which is best-of-five (BO5).

Team Spirit have not won a Dota 2 tournament since DreamLeague Season 25, and they looked fairly weak in the PGL Wallachia Season 4 playoffs.

However, despite their recent slump, the Russian outfit enter BLAST Slam III as the main favourites, priced at 4.50 on the top betting sites.

Of the two, Tundra Esports are the more exciting team to follow, having already won two Tier-1 events this season, and they finished third in PGL Wallachia despite playing with a stand-in.

Now with a full roster, Tundra Esports are set to make waves and contest their first trophy since February.

Gaimin Gladiators (9.00), BetBoom Team (11.00), Aurora Gaming (17.00), Xtreme Gaming (26.00), and Team Tidebound (26.00) are all priced as underdogs for BLAST Slam III, as none have reached the same heights as any of the top favourites.
