DreamLeague Season 26 is the ninth Tier-1 Dota 2 event of the season and one of the most prestigious tournaments of the year – part of the DreamLeague series and the ESL Pro Tour.
Set to be played out entirely online on May 19 – June 1, DreamLeague Season 26 is also one of the final tests ahead of The International 2025, adding to the excitement as esports fans get to see which teams have put in the work to prepare for the battle for the Aegis of Champions.
While there are no guarantees which teams will manage to step up in the online setting, the top betting sites have made it very clear which three squads are expected to dominate, with Team Liquid, PARIVISION, and Team Falcons all priced very close at the top of the outright betting markets.
While the markets show one thing, one important question remains unanswered: Who will win DreamLeague Season 26?
DreamLeague Season 26 Format
DreamLeague Season 26 is a 16-team Dota 2 tournament featuring four teams from the EPT Leaderboard, 10 teams who qualified for the event via regional qualifiers and two teams from ACL X ESL Challenger China.
The tournament will begin with Group Stage 1, where the teams will be seeded into two round-robin groups of eight teams each.
All series will consist of two games (BO2), with the top four teams from each group advancing to Group Stage 2.
Once the field is cut in half, the remaining eight Dota 2 teams will be placed in one single round-robin group, with all matches played as best-of-three (BO3).
The top four teams from the group will advance to the playoffs, with the top two teams securing an upper-bracket seed.
The playoffs will be double-elimination with best-of-five (BO5) grand finals and all other games played as BO3.
The format for DreamLeague Season 26 will be the same as the format used in the previous (DreamLeague Season 25) event on the DreamLeague series.
The only difference is the qualifying process, which now includes the top two teams from ACL X ESL Challenger China.

DreamLeague Season 26 Favourites
According to the latest betting odds, DreamLeague Season 26 is expected to be contested between a handful of candidates, including PARIVISION (4.33), Team Liquid (4.33), Team Falcons (4.50), Gaimin Gladiators (7.50) and Xtreme Gaming (8.50).
Of the top five favourites, PARIVISION and Team Liquid are billed as the leading contenders, which makes a lot of sense.
PARIVISION are one of the biggest (positive) surprises of 2025 and one of the more consistent Dota 2 teams in the world. They won ESL One Raleigh 2025 and collected podium finishes at PGL Wallachia Season 4, FISSURE PLAYGROUND 1, and the previous season of DreamLeague.
As the EPT Leaderboard frontrunners, PARIVISION’s expectations are nothing less than a title. But they will face stiff opposition.
Team Liquid will want to spoil PARIVISION’s plans like they did in the recent PGL Wallachia tournament, beating the Russian outfit in the grand finals.
It was their second Tier-1 tournament title of the season, and while Liquid have not found much success outside of PGL Wallachia tournaments, they’re rightly one of the main favourites to do well on the European servers.
Team Falcons are and have been one of the most hyped up teams in the scene, and for all the right reasons. This is a star-studded roster which has not always performed up to expectations, but they’ve consistently produced deep tournament runs with podium finishes at BALST Slam II, PGL Wallachia S3, and FISSURE PLAYGROUND 1.
While not one of the main favourites on the betting markets, BetBoom Team (11.00) should not be overlooked.
They qualified for DreamLeague Season 26 through the EPT Leaderboard. While BB Team have produced mixed results this season, they have always managed high-level gameplay with a fourth-place finish at ESL One Raleigh 2025, and a trophy from FISSURE Universe: Episode 4.
Xtreme Gaming are a promising squad from China, known for their aggressive and explosive playstyle. However, while exciting, Xtreme Gaming have little experience competing in bigger events, putting a huge question mark above them and their chances to make it far at DreamLeague Season 26.
Gaimin Gladiators, on the other side, are regular participants in Tier-1 events, and while they have yet to win a big event in 2025, GG have the talent and the tools to surprise.
