Set to begin on Saturday, June 21, the PGL Wallachia Season 5 is the 10th Tier-1 Dota 2 tournament of the season and the final international LAN event before the Esports World Cup and The International 2025.

Like Season 4, PGL Wallachia Season 5 will be held at PGL Studio in Bucharest, Romania, featuring 16 Dota 2 teams fighting for the lion’s share of the $1,000,000 prize pool.

PGL Wallachia Season 5 did not host any qualifiers. Instead, all 16 teams received direct invites from the tournament organisers.

The first eight teams that win three games advance to the playoffs. Meanwhile, the eight teams that will lose three games will get eliminated.

Playoffs are double-elimination with all games played as BO3, except for the grand final, which will be best-of-five (BO5).

With weaker teams, some of Europe’s top contenders, namely Team Spirit, are expected to shine, as reflected in the outright betting markets.
