Bilibili Gaming continued their Cinderella Story on Saturday when they demolished T1 (3-1) in the Mid-Season Invitational 2023 semi-finals, marking another massive upset for the LoL Pro League (LPL) representatives. Just a day prior, they humiliated LCK's first seed, Gen.G (3-0), proving to the world that China is miles ahead of any other region.

Admittedly, Bilibili Gaming had it easy against Gen.G who played a terrible series, and it's not like BLG were phenomenal against T1 either. But as much as we can doubt Bilibili Gaming and their quality, they're winning games, and that's all that matters.

As already talked about, Bilibili Gaming is a flawed team that should be easily exploitable, but neither T1 nor Gen.G have managed to put that on full display.

JD Gaming entered MSI 2023 as one of the main candidates to win it all, and they've yet to show anything that would make me doubt them. They crushed Golden Guardians in the first round, handed Bilibili Gaming (3-0) another loss in round two, and then had to dig deep, but still defeated T1 (3-2) in the semis.

This is arguably the most stacked roster the LoL esports scene has seen in years, filled with former world champions and top players in their respective roles. Even as a unit, JD Gaming look extremely good, even though I would say that their teamfighting strength is a bit exaggerated.

Nevertheless, JD Gaming have shown enough for anyone to agree that they're the best team in the world now - the only question is whether they'll prove that on Sunday.

Bilibili Gaming v JD Gaming

Bilibili Gaming have defied all the odds in their last two outings and proved to all the doubters that they're stronger than many believed. However, it's very easy to get caught in the hype surrounding this team and forget that they're not set to face JD Gaming, who have beaten BLG four times this season and thrice in a best-of-five series without any issues.

There's an argument about how Bilibili Gaming have momentum on their side, which is true. But on the other side, JD Gaming have a lot more film on BLG to figure out how to approach this match - granted JDG have already proven that they have the winning formula.

Bilibili Gaming have been phenomenal this tournament, but I can't see them beating JD Gaming. At the offered odds, backing JD Gaming to cover the map handicap is the right play, and I'm adding a smaller position on JD Gaming to win 3-0.
