DN Freecs vs T1 Predictions

DN Freecs will hope they can upset T1 on Saturday, May 24, in the eighth week of League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK) 2025 Rounds 1-2. However, that is much easier said than done.

DN Freecs are objectively the weakest team in the league, having managed just one victory from 15 games played. T1 have had their iffy moments, but they remain one of the league's top contenders and are in great shape.

T1 might not be at the same level as Gen.G and Hanwha Life Esports, but they have been effective in beating weaker opponents, which should continue on Saturday.

  • DN Freecs are 1-14
  • T1 are effective as favourites
  • This is T1's game to lose

Head to Head

DN Freecs and T1 last met in Week 5 of LCK 2025 Rounds 1-2, when T1 won in two maps.

DN Freecs Form

DN Freecs are the league's worst-performing team, having managed only one win from 15 games played. They have looked slightly better over the recent weeks, but not good enough for DN Freecs to be considered good or even mid-tier.

Last week, DN Freecs suffered rough losses against Gen.G and Hanwha Life Esports. Given the level of the opponents, they deserve some slack, but even against DRX, DNF did not look much better.

At this point, it is hard to find many positives about this team. They're not as bad as they were early into the split, but DN Freecs have a long way to go.

DN Freecs Squad & Team News

No changes for DN Freecs.

  • Lee "DuDu" Dong-ju – top lane
  • Hong "Pyosik" Chang-hyeon – jungle
  • Lee "BuLLDoG" Tae-young – mid lane
  • Kim "Berserker" Min-cheol – ADC
  • Kim "Life" Jeong-min – support

T1 Form

T1 won their 10th game of the split on Thursday when they bested BNK FEARX in two maps. It was a fairly competitive game until T1 took over the late game with solid neutral objective control; granted, they were also simply the better team.

With 10 victories, T1 are guaranteed a top-six finish, but they are unlikely to catch up with Hanwha Life Esports and Gen.G, having struggled to keep up the pace with the league's top contenders.

Still, T1 remain one of the top teams in the LCK; they have been trending in the right direction for a few weeks now.  But more importantly, T1 have been very effective in crushing weaker opponents, and that is something that might happen on Saturday.

T1 Squad & Team News

T1 have not made any roster changes.

  • Choi "Doran" Hyeon-jun – top lane
  • Mun "Oner" Hyeon-jun – jungle
  • Lee "Faker" Sang-hyeok – mid lane
  • Lee "Gumayusi" Min-hyung – ADC
  • Ryu "Keria" Min-seok – support

Verdict

T1 have been in solid form over the last three weeks. They've accumulated six victories and just one loss over that stretch, and while they've had a few close calls, T1 seem to have found momentum after a shaky stretch earlier in the season.

DN Freecs have also been improving, but only slightly. They have not shown enough yet to consider them even remotely good, and their loss to DRX on Wednesday is a good enough of indication of where DNF stand.

Expect a one-sided victory for T1.
