FlyQuest are 1.20 favourites to defeat 100 Thieves on Sunday with the best LoL bookmakers, while 100 Thieves enter the match as 4.00 underdogs. As one of the best-performing teams in the league, FlyQuest deserve some recognition, yet the real question is what 100 Thieves can do in this series.
- 100 Thieves lost to Team Liquid and Cloud9 in the last two rounds
- FlyQuest have now won three straight games
- It should be a one-sided affair
Head to Head
FlyQuest and 100 Thieves have yet to meet this season.
FlyQuest Form
FlyQuest are 3-1, which puts them in a solid spot to compete for a top-two finish. However, unlike Team Liquid and Cloud9, they've not performed as well and had a few shaky performances, including the one against NRG (2-1) in Week 2 and, to some extent, their most recent against Immortals (2-0).
They will get it done more times than not, especially when faced with weaker opponents. FlyQuest do, however, tend to play bloodier games, with an average of 17 kills and 11.9 deaths per map, which is an angle to look at when betting on this series.
FlyQuest Squad & Team News
No changes for FlyQuest.
- Gabriël "Bwipo" Rau – top lane
- Kacper "Inspired" Słoma – jungle
- Song "Quad" Su-hyeong – mid lane
- Fahad "Massu" Abdulmalek – ADC
- Alan "Busio" Cwalina – support
100 Thieves Form
100 Thieves lost their first match after the summer break last round when they had to admit defeat to Cloud9 in two maps. They've not looked too sharp of late and are on a three-game losing streak, which includes defeats against Liquid, Cloud9, and even Dignitas in the second week.
But while their record isn't great, 100 Thieves have shown some improvement. They no longer rely on coin-flipping teamfights and actually seem like they have an identity. But 100T are still not at the same level as some of the top contenders, and still have a lot of work to do.
100 Thieves Squad & Team News
No roster changes for 100 Thieves.
- Rayan "Sniper" Shoura – top lane
- Kim "River" Dong-woo – jungle
- Lim "Quid" Hyeon-seung – mid lane
- Brandon "Meech" Choi – ADC
- Bill "Eyla" Nguyen – support
Verdict
100 Thieves have not looked great so far this split, and they got absolutely crushed by Cloud9 in their last series. This isn't as concerning as Cloud9 are miles ahead of most other teams in the LCS and definitely better than FlyQuest.
This is still FlyQuest's game to lose, and with all due respect, it's hard to imagine 100 Thieves winning without FlyQuest shooting themselves in the foot. The kill line is set at 6.5, which sounds a bit low, especially now that the games tend to drag out a bit more.
And knowing that 100 Thieves will likely struggle to contain FlyQuest, there's a good chance the favourites will cover that handicap.
