Considering the level of opponents LGD had to play, this isn't disastrous, especially since LGD Gaming actually put up some solid games over the eight series played. But because they got bodied in most of the series, their numbers don't reflect it.

Over that stretch, Invictus Gaming defeated EDward Gaming (2-0), Royal Never Give Up (2-1), and Team WE (2-0). Although not the toughest bunch of LoL esports teams to defeat, Invictus Gaming are at least in good form. The question is whether they'll manage to translate it to the Play-ins.

Stats-wise, Invictus Gaming look like the better team. But we have to consider that Invictus Gaming played in Group Nirvana – a group of eight teams who are all terrible; so it's easy to look good if you don't get properly tested.

Essentially we have a team who have posted decent numbers albeit against weaker teams and a team with one of the league's worst stats, yet they had to play much tougher opponents. So the only real question is whether LGD Gaming belong in the "bad teams" category or are they simply the worst of the best. It is more of the latter.

Invictus Gaming are not a good team, and while it's not fair to praise LGD Gaming too much either, they've at least shown something against elite-tier opponents.
