LGD Gaming have not been excellent this season either; however, considering LNG's form ahead of this match, it is hard to doubt LGD despite their flaws.

Even though this is a clash between two fairly weak LPL teams, LNG Esports are in far worse spot and considering their recent roster changes, there are even fewer reasons to believe LNG will find traction anytime soon.

LNG Esports Form

LNG Esports are arguably the weakest team in the LPL, and it is not even close. They've yet to win a series since the start of the season and have managed just two maps – one against ThunderTalk Gaming on the opening day of LPL 2025 Split 1 and one against EDward Gaming last week.

Even though winning one map against EDG can be viewed as a sign of improvement, EDward Gaming are not great, and yet they had a fairly easy time beating LNG. That loss was just another indication of how weak LNG are.

LNG Esports have added two new players, Li "LP" Fei and Zeng "5t5" Jun to the roster earlier this month, but there are no confirmations which lineup LNG will field on Wednesday.

They had a solid showing against Oh My God (2-1) last week when LGD picked up their first victory of the stage and their second BO3 victory of the split. More importantly, LGD Gaming bested LNG twice during the LPL 2025 Split 2 group stage and without any major problems.

The problem with these weak teams is that they're not reliable enough to trust them as favourites, but I will make an exception to that rule here purely due to the fact that LNG have been playing terribly.
