JD Gaming are the early favourites to win the 2023 League of Legends World Championship ahead of the world's best LoL teams going head to head in South Korea for the Summoner's Cup.

With many teams looking to add another LoL Worlds trophy to their cabinet and a handful of newcomers looking to leave a mark, LoL Worlds 2023 promises to be one of the most exciting events to date, but who will come out on top?

Even though LoL Worlds is known as a tournament that annually produces a handful of upsets, the esports betting sites are synonymous with pricing JD Gaming as the leading favourites at 2.25.

The Chinese powerhouse enter LoL Worlds 2023 on the brink of completing the never-before accomplished "Golden Road", which includes winning both domestic splits, the Mid-Season Invitational and the LoL World Championship.

Latest LoL Worlds Betting Odds

The offered outright betting odds start to stretch after JD Gaming, with the home-crowd favourites, Gen.G, priced at 6.00 with bet365 to go all the way and hoist the Summoner's Cup for the first time since the organisation rebranded from Samsung Galaxy. As a team that is always in the race for the trophy but never on top, Gen.G are not to be overlooked as a strong candidate to win the elusive Summoner's Cup, but they – like any other team – will have a mountain to climb.

China's second seed, LNG Esports, sits behind Gen.G at 7.00 as the third favourite to win LoL Worlds 2023. As the only team that managed to cause JD Gaming problems, LNG Esports have proven themselves to be a dangerous squad, but their lack of success over the season puts many question marks above their chances to go all the way.

T1 (8.00) are priced as the fourth favourite to win the organisation's fourth LoL Worlds title after it slipped between their fingers last year, followed by Bilibili Gaming (10.00) and the unpredictable Webo Gaming (13.00), who share the same price as T1's rivals, KT Rolster.

Of all the Asian teams, the 2020 LoL Worlds champions Dplus KIA are priced at the longest odds (15.00) following their shaky run throughout the 2023 season. However, with this team's experience, Dplus KIA are never to be underestimated, regardless of how weak they've looked this season.

Last year we saw a Cinderella Story at LoL Worlds 2022, when DRX defied all the odds and won the organisation's first Summoner's Cup. And while expecting another Cinderella run is somewhat optimistic, this is the only way to believe that a Western team can produce a deep run this year.

The gap between the Eastern and Western teams has continued to grow over the years and is now large enough to confidently say that LCK and LPL teams are a class above anything LCS or LEC will send to the international stage.

That explains why the European champions and 2019 LoL Worlds finalists, G2 Esports, are priced as 26.00 outsiders. Yet they're miles ahead of the second-best Western team, Fnatic (51.00), and EU's no.3, MAD Lions (67.00).

Considered a weaker region than EU, the North American teams follow with Cloud9 (81.00) priced as the most likely LCS team to go all the way, ahead of LCS 2023 Summer finalists NRG Esports (101.00) and Team Liquid (201.00), who already belong in the group of teams that have little to no chance of going all the way.

PSG Talon (451.00), GAM Esports (501.00), LOUD (601.00), CTBC Flying Oyster (751.00), Team Whales (1001.00), DetonatioN FocusMe (1001.00), and Movistar R7 (1501.00) round up the list of all participating teams as complete outsiders and the leading candidates to crash out of the tournament early.
