T1 secured a spot in the second round by edging past CTBC Flying Oyster, whereas Bilibili Gaming bested Movistar KOI in four maps. Both teams showed some cracks in the first round, but now that they've shaken off the rust, a better display is to be expected.

T1 enter the second round of MSI 2025 after a narrow 3-2 victory against CBTC Flying Oyster, who really pushed the defending world champions to their limits.
The first map was competitive, but the second and third were in favour of Flying Oyster, who found themselves in an excellent position to win, but were a bit unlucky and blundered their chances. T1 took full advantage of the situation and picked up the decisive maps, ending with a ticket for the upper bracket round 2.
It was not a very promising display from T1. Admittedly, CBTC Flying Oysters performed extremely well, but you would expect to see more from T1, who will need to improve if they wish to accomplish anything in this tournament.

Bilibili Gaming started their MSI 2025 campaign with a wild 3-1 victory against Movistar KOI. The game was more competitive than initially expected, mainly because we got to see the "good" version of KOI on the day.
The series could have easily extended to game five, but ON decided to close out the series there with a brave play to stop Jojopyun. Even though BLG won, it seemed like they did not entirely deserve it. Or at the very least, they were not as dominant as initially anticipated.
Not a bad display, but not particularly great either.
