As the reigning LoL world champions, T1 enter this series as 1.32 favourites to defeat KT Rolster, who are 3.30 underdogs with the top League of Legends betting sites. Despite T1's shaky form this split, this price doesn't sound too wrong, but we have to consider that T1 are vulnerable and perhaps not as strong as the market makes them.

T1 ended the LCK 2024 Summer regular season in fourth place with an 11-7 record. While this isn't bad, it's still far below the expectations put on one of the most dominant LoL esports teams in the league.

Particularly in the second part of the season, T1 have failed to produce anything noteworthy and have shown some very concerning performances, both against stronger and weaker opposition. While T1 managed to end the split on a three-game winning streak, even those wins came against weaker teams, and not one victory was a very convincing one.

KT Rolster performed well during this split for their standards. They remain a very competitive LoL esports team who will step up when properly challenged but are just as likely to slip up when faced with weaker opponents. This is a squad who tend to be a better betting option when priced as underdogs.

Hong "Pyosik" Chang-hyeon and his men ended the regular season with a 3-3 record, including wins against Hanwha Life Esports (2-1), Gen.G (2-1), and DRX (0-2) and three losses against OKSavingsBank BRION (0-2), Kwangdong Freecs (0-2), and Dplus KIA (0-2), which only proves the previous point – more times than not KT Rolster will exceed expectations as favourites.

The question is whether KT Rolster can keep at it in the knockout stage; however, it is not like KT Rolster historically struggled in the playoffs.

Verdict

T1 v KT Rolster

T1 are expected to win on Saturday, which sounds fair, given this team's ceiling, experience, and overall quality. But all that doesn't take away from the fact that T1 have had some of the worst performances of the year in the latter stages of the split, which makes it fair to wonder whether they should be priced as such massive favourites.

KT Rolster are not quite up there with Gen.G and T1 raw quality-wise, but they have posted very promising results lately, namely against top-rated teams. So even though this is T1's game to lose, their form heading into the playoffs is concerning enough to believe we might be in for a competitive game.
