On paper, T1 look like the clear winners. They have the players to do well and have managed to reinvent the meta, which should give them an edge no matter which team they play. Moreover, T1 are in exceptional form and as we know, it’s tough to stop in-form teams at LoL Worlds (remember DRX in 2022?).

However, we’re getting 4.00 on Weibo Gaming, which is a massive number. T1 were favourites in the finals before, even last year, and yet they ended up choking. That doesn’t mean that T1 will choke again, but it only goes to show that favourites don’t always win.

We must also consider that Weibo Gaming are actually good enough to put up a fight here, and they have side choice, which will help their chances to cook up a surprise. Whether Weibo Gaming can actually surprise T1 and deal with their unique drafts remains to be seen, but at 4.00, Weibo Gaming are way underrated.
