MLBB M4 World Championship Format
The MLBB M4 World Championship features 16 teams from all over the world bidding to be crowned world champions from January 1-15, 2023.
The first leg of the tournament is the Group Stage, where the 16 teams are divided into four groups of four. Each group plays out a single round robin, and all the matches will be played as best-of-one.
There is no elimination at this stage, but their seeds here will determine their placement in the Playoffs stage, which is structured as a double elimination bracket.
The top two teams from each group proceed to the upper Playoffs bracket, while the bottom two will go on to play the lower bracket.
In case of a two-way tiebreaker, the higher position will be decided by the previous head to head. If three teams are tied on the same scorer, they are sorted according to their winning match times.
The bottom two teams play a best-of-one, and the winner squares off against the team with the shortest game win. The winner of this game will claim the higher position.
The Grand Final will be a best-of-seven series, while the first two rounds of the lower bracket are best-of-three. All the other playoffs matches are best-of-five.
