NRG travel to RLCS 2025 Birmingham Major as one of the teams to watch. They are the most dominant team hailing from the North American league, having won the first two Open events and finished top-four in NA Open 3, which is seriously impressive.

As the best team from the second-strongest region in the world, NRG are rightly billed as one of the strongest squads at the RLCS 2025 Birmingham Major. And it is very hard to find a good reason to doubt them – at the end of the day, this same roster won the 2024 London Major and placed second in Copenhagen and the world championship.

While NRG did not look as clean in the final event before the Major, they should not struggle against a lesser team like Gen.G.

Gen.G started the season with a seventh-eighth place finish in NA Open 1 and ninth-12th in NA Open 2, before they produced a miracle run in Open 3 with a 4-3 victory against The Ultimates in the grand finals. The question is, how much does that run mean.

Gen.G Mobil1 Racing showed good things in RLCS 2025—Birmingham Major: NA Open 3, but that minor success does not diminish the fact that they've not accomplished much earlier in the season.

Moreover, NRG are 2-0 up in the head-to-head, having won the last two meetings 3-1, and there is little to suggest they can't do it again. Gen.G Mobil1 Racing have been ramping up before the Major, while NRG seem to have slowed down.

Still, quality-wise, you can't deny that NRG are the superior team and more experienced on LAN, which should be enough for a comfortable win.
