Toronto Ultra ended CDL 2025 Major 2 Qualifiers in third place, with a 5-2 record and +3 map differential. They did well ahead of the second Major, stringing together three consecutive wins against Vegas Falcons (3-1), OpTic Texas (3-0), and Vancouver Surge (3-2).

Their only two defeats of the online stage came against Los Angeles Thieves (0-3) and Cloud9 New York (0-3), who bested them again in the first round of the Major in a very competitive game.

Toronto have been in the conversation of a good top-mid-table team since the start of the season. While they've had some inconsistent moments, Ultra are a solid team, and as proven before, they are very good at beating weaker opponents.

Los Angeles Guerrillas M8 Form

Los Angeles Guerrillas M8 placed second-to-last in the CDL 2025 Major 2 Qualifiers, with a 1-6 record and just one victory against Vegas Falcons (3-0). Across the other six games, the Guerrillas M8 have managed to collect just eight maps – two Hardpoints, two Controls and one Search & Destroy.

It is no secret that the Guerrillas are in very shaky form, and their past showings – even in Stage 1 – do not inspire much confidence. They're not good on either game mode and only seem to do well on maps where their opponents choke.

This could happen on Friday, but expecting the Guerrillas to defeat Toronto Ultra on LAN is very optimistic.

Toronto Ultra are billed as firm favourites for this match and there is little to suggest they're anything less than that. While somewhat inconsistent when faced with more formidable opponents, Ultra are very good at getting the job done against weaker teams, and that is something we can safely expect to happen on Friday.

LAGM might sneak in one map, but they are unlikely to get any of their best maps. With a worse win rate on all three game mode and a much shallower map pool, Los Angeles Guerrillas M8 will have a hard time leaving a dent in Toronto Ultra.
