100 Thieves vs Evil Geniuses Predictions
100 Thieves and Evil Geniuses will clash on Saturday, March 29, in the second week of VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT) 2025: Americas Stage 1 in what promises to be a one-sided fixture.

100 Thieves enter the match as firm favourites despite losing to Sentinels on the opening day of Stage 1. That makes a lot of sense, as Evil Geniuses did not play well during VCT Americas Kickoff, nor did they impress anyone with their showing against 2GAME Esports in the first week of Stage 1.
After seeing Evil Geniuses struggle to overcome an inferior team in 2GAME, it is more than fair to question their chances to defeat 100 Thieves. On the other side, 100T looked very rough on Split and Pearl, so there is a world where they drop at least one on Sunday.
- 100 Thieves have a questionable map pool
- Evil Geniuses have a lot more to prove
- Evil Geniuses have looked rough at this stage, but the same can be said for 100T
Head to Head
This will mark the first meeting between Evil Geniuses and 100 thieves.
100 Thieves Form
100 Thieves started VCT 2025: Americas Stage 1 with a humiliating 1-2 loss to Sentinels. While losing to Sentinels in itself is not worrying, 100 Thieves did not look even remotely good in that series.
100T picked up one map against Sentinels – Haven (13-9) – but they looked terrible on Pearl (5-13) and Split (1-13). Considering 100 Thieves also banned Lotus, they seem to have at least three maps on which they do not do well.
This is very worrying as it clearly shows that 100T might not have prepared many maps for Stage 1, leaving them vulnerable against any team.

Evil Geniuses Form
Evil Geniuses defeated 2GAME Esports in the first week of Americas Stage 1, which was expected. However, they came close to losing Haven (13-11) and were not very dominant on Lotus (13-8) either.
Despite the win, Evil Geniuses showed some fundamental issues in their approach to the game and they've produced a few too many questionable moments, which could've easily ended in 2 G's favour.
On the other hand, 100 Thieves did not look that great either, so we should not criticise Evil Geniuses too much. Moreover, Yay and NaturE both had a solid game against 2GAME Esports, and if they can keep at it, EG could do some damage on Saturday.

Verdict
100 Thieves should be viewed as the better team, but they did not play well against Sentinels, and more notably, they showed just how shallow their map pool is. This is something Evil Geniuses can take advantage of.
Admittedly, EG did not play particularly well against 2GAME Esports in the first week, but NaturE and yay had solid individual performances, which gives me hope EG can be at least somewhat competitive on Saturday.
