DRX ended the VCT 2025: Pacific Stage 1 group stage with an impressive 4-1 record. They've beaten Paper Rex (2-1), DetonatioN FocusMe (2-0), Global Esports (2-0), and Gen.G Esports (2-1), while their sole loss came against Group Alpha no.1 seed, BOOM Esports, who bested DRX in the fourth week 2-1.

During the group stage, DRX played well, but they also had some shaky moments, particularly over the last two weeks. However, DRX have a solid map pool and a few maps on which they do much better than T1.

T1 ended Group Omega in third place, with a 3-2 record, having beaten ZETA DIVISION (2-1), Nongshim RedForce (2-0), and Team Secret (2-1). They've accumulated those three wins across the first three weeks of play, but lost the next two against Rex Regum Qeon (1-2) and TALON (0-2).

This is a worrying trend as T1 have lost a lot of their momentum just before the playoffs. They've also shown weakness on Icebox, which is one of the maps DRX do well on and could be a significant factor this weekend.

On a more positive note, T1 have had enough time to compose themselves and bounce back from their slump. Whether they've managed to do so, however, remains to be seen.

DRX v T1

A big question for this match is whether T1 have managed to recover from their recent slump, but there is also the question of which maps will be played. T1 have proven they're not that great on Icebox, and they like to play Bind even though they're shaky on the map.

Quality-wise, there is not a lot to set these two teams apart, and while T1 have a higher ceiling, their map pool issues should give DRX at least one map. From there, it's anyone's game.
