Valorant bookmakers have KRU Esports priced as 2.75 underdogs for their upcoming clash with LOUD, with LOUD priced as 1.40 favourites. Even though LOUD are a stronger team on paper, they’ve yet to win a game this stage, which makes it tougher to defend their status as the better team.
- KRU Esports have already beaten FURIA, MIBR, and Evil Geniuses
- LOUD have not found much traction in VCT 2024: Americas Stage 1
- A very important game for both teams
Head to Head
LOUD and KRU have yet to meet this season.
KRU Esports Form
KRU Esports had a bad start to the 2024 Valorant esports season. They exited VCT 2024: Americas Kickoff in last place, with two defeats against G2 Esports (1-2 and 0-2), suggesting that they’re not fit to compete for the VCT Americas title.
But things took a sudden turn for the better since the start of VCT 2024: Americas Stage 1. Over the first three weeks, KRU Esports have accumulated three victories against FURIA (2-1), MIBR (2-0), and Evil Geniuses (2-0).
In all three fixtures, KRU proved to be the superior team, winning the games convincingly and proving they’re more than bottom feeders. But KRU Esports have also yet to face a strong team in VCT 2024: Americas Stage 1, until this Wednesday.

LOUD Form
LOUD lost a few great players before the start of the 2024 Valorant esports season, but retained their tag as a competitive team. And they proved just that with a run to the finals at VCT 2024: Americas Kickoff and a fourth-place finish at VCT 2024: Masters Madrid.
Until the start of VCT 2024: Americas Stage 1, LOUD have won five of nine games played, and their only four defeats came against some of the world’s top teams in Sentinels (twice), Gen.G, and Paper Rex. But as soon as Stage 1 kicked off, LOUD lost much of their momentum.
Across the first two weeks, LOUD have lost both of their series, against NRG (0-2) and Cloud9 (1-2), and they have looked like a shadow of their former selves. In their defence, LOUD had a tough schedule, but for a team that placed fourth at Masters Madrid, you’d expect to see more.

Verdict
LOUD proved early in the year that they’re a very competent team, and despite their four-game losing streak, many would consider them a sleeping giant. That’s fair, as LOUD have enough talent to compete for the VCT Americas title, but it’s also tough to defend them after concerning displays over the last two weeks.
KRU Esports are the complete opposite. They’re in great form but lack the talent to be considered Americas’ top team, and since they’ve yet to defeat a strong opponent, it’s hard to say how high they can fly. Still, while KRU Esports’ ceiling is questionable, we have to respect their form, so as much as this is LOUD’s game to lose, KRU look fit to win at least one map.
