Sentinels had a promising start to the VALORANT Masters Toronto 2025. They finished the Swiss Stage with a perfect 2-0 record and added a 2-0 sweep in the first round of the knockout stage.

However, across the first three games of the tournament, Sentinels have only faced Chinese teams – Bilibili Gaming, Wolves Esports, and XLG Esports. When faced with Paper Rex in the upper bracket semifinals, however, Sentinels had to admit defeat with 3-13 on Split and 11-13 on Sunset.

Things will not get any easier for the VCT Americas no.2 seed on Tuesday when they face off against Fnatic. However, considering Fnatic have proven they're not invincible, Sentinels can feel hopeful that they can come out ahead.

Fnatic have played just two games at VALORANT Masters Toronto 2025 so far. They lost their opening match against Gen.G Esports (1-2) but edged past Rex Regum Qeon (2-1) in the first round of the lower bracket.

It was a very good showing from Fnatic. While they lost Haven with 6-13, they won Lotus and Ascent with 13-5, proving themselves as the superior team on the day.

Crashies and Chronicle in particular, looked great in Fnatic's victory over RRQ, averaging 1.33 and 1.32 performance ratings, respectively. However, as a unit, Fnatic showed some cracks against Gen.G.

Fnatic are billed as favourites, which makes sense, as they played well against Gen.G Esports and looked even better in their win against Rex Regum Qeon. Sentinels, on the other side, have only found success against Chinese teams and were outmatched by Paper Rex.

Nevertheless, Sentinels should not be counted out entirely. Their map pool is in a good spot to face off against Fnatic, and Sentinels have enough experienced players who will perform up to par in high-pressure situations.
