Sentinels are billed as favourites, which makes sense considering LOUD's record (0-3). But LOUD looked much better since the recent roster shuffle, whereas Sentinels have shown some cracks in their game plan over the last three weeks.

It is still the Sentinels' game to lose, but it is easy to feel optimistic about LOUD and their chances of causing some damage on Saturday.

Sentinels are 2-1 ahead of this match, which is a fine spot to be in, but the game against LOUD will be a proper test for Sentinels and how good they actually are. Sentinels have so far beaten 100 Thieves (2-1) and Evil Geniuses (2-0) but lost to KRU Esports (0-2).

This does not sound too bad, but Sentinels did not convince me with their performance against EG, when Sentinels showed just how inadaptable they are and how quickly they crumble when things do not go as planned.

LOUD Form

LOUD have not won a game three weeks into VCT 2025: Americas Stage 1. However, they played much better last week after LOUD added lukxo to the main lineup and nearly defeated 100 Thieves.

Prior to that game, LOUD lost to KRU (1-2) and 2GAME Esports (0-2) quite badly, but I would put more weight on their most recent fixture, which gives me hope that LOUD can avoid crashing out of the group stage.

A lot will come down to whether lukxo will have another heroic performance on Saturday and play as well as he did against 100 Thieves. That is a big "what if" for LOUD, but even as a whole, the Brazilians showed more pulse since the recent roster shuffle.

Verdict

Sentinels v LOUD

LOUD looked good in just one game this stage, so I'm not sold on the idea that they're a good team. But in their defence, LOUD's only good game came after they added lukxo to the active lineup, so there is a world where they find more traction and do even better on Saturday.

Sentinels are still the better team on paper, but the eye test proves they have some issues and can be quickly caught off guard if their opponents pull out a strategy Sentinels are not prepared for.

Sentinels will have to blunder hard to lose, but I can see LOUD taking a map.
