Team Liquid Form

Team Liquid had a very solid run through the VCT 2025: EMEA Stage 1 group stage. They ended Group Omega in first place, with a 4-1 record, which includes just one loss against Gentle Mates (1-2) in the first week, and four consecutive victories against BBL Esports (2-1), FUT Esports (2-0), KOI (2-0), and Karmine Corp (2-1).

Over the last four outings, Liquid have looked excellent, and with that, they've earned a tag of one of the main contenders to win the VCT 2025 EMEA Stage 1 trophy. However, they are not the only squad with highly talented individuals.

Fnatic had a decent showing in the group stage. They won their first four fixtures – against NaVi (2-0), Team Vitality (2-1), Apeks (2-0), and GIANTX (2-1) – but lost to Team Heretics (0-2) quite badly in the final match of the groups.

Having previously played an iffy game against GIANTX, Fnatic entered the playoffs not expected to do well. But the added break seems to have helped the Black&Orange, who crushed FUT Esports with 13-6 on Lotus and 13-8 on Split.

One good game does not prove much in the bigger picture. However, if that series is any indication, Fnatic will be hard to stop.

Team Liquid have looked better if we compare the two teams and their performances during the group stage. However, while Fnatic seemed like they had slowed down towards the end of groups, they played an excellent series against FUT Esports in the first round of the playoffs.

Fnatic would always be a serious threat if they figured things out, and as it appears, the two-week break was just what they needed to fix their issues and find a new gear.

This should be a very competitive game.
