Vitality are the defending VCT EMEA champions and one of the region’s strongest team, however, their recent form might not make it as evident, seeing how they are 1-2 with losses to Fnatic and Team Heretics. In their defence, Vitality had to play two very strong teams.

Team Vitality were the clear best team of VCT 2025: EMEA Kickoff, and they even looked solid at VALORANT Masters Bangkok. However, since the start of Stage 1, they’ve been on a bit of a slump, managing just one victory over the three games played.

Vitality defeated GIANTX (2-0) in the first week and have since lost to Fnatic (1-2) and Team Heretics (0-2). It is not the most inspiring record, and it should make anyone wonder whether Team Vitality will be as dominant against Apeks as they’re expected to be.

Still, despite the fact that Vitality are not playing at 100%, they are individually a much stronger team than Apeks.

Team Vitality have not been playing as well as they were expected, nor as well as we know they are capable of. However, despite that, I see no problem with them being priced as heavy favourites for this match.

Apeks have been performing better than initially expected, but that’s all very relative and is in no way an indication that they’re comparable to Vitality quality-wise.

This is a match Team Vitality can not afford to lose. Urgency should inspire a better performance from Vitality.
