Team Vitality have looked very rough this stage. After dominating the VCT 2025 EMEA Kickoff and producing solid games at VALORANT Masters Bangkok 2025, Vitality seem to have run out of steam and barely made it through the group stage with a 2-3 record.

In the groups, Vitality picked up two 2-0 sweeps against GIANTX and Apeks, but failed to find as much success against Fnatic, Team Heretics, and Natus Vincere.

Purely based on what Vitality have shown in the latter stages of the group stage, they do not look like a serious threat for the VCT EMEA Stage 1 trophy race. However, they’ve had well over two weeks to figure things out, and if they used the time wisely, Vitality could turn into serious title contenders.

FUT Esports had a nice run in the VCT 2025: EMEA Stage 1 groups. While they hardly looked like one of the top teams in the league, FUT proved they can fight.

All that, however, did not help them make it past Fnatic in the first round of the playoffs.

The Turkish VALORANT esports team lost the series 0-2 with 6-13 on Lotus and 8-13 on Split, which is worrying.

One loss does not take away from FUT’s promising results in the group stage. But if we draw a line, FUT have yet to do well against a strong team.

Team Vitality v FUT Esports

Looking at only the most recent four games, FUT Esports have looked better. However, after their tough loss against Fnatic, I find it much easier to doubt FUT and their chances of defeating Team Vitality.

A lot will come down to whether Team Vitality have found a way to improve and iron out their issues for the playoffs. And even though there are no guarantees that Vitality will play better in the knockout stage, their ceiling alone is a good enough reason to take their side.
