When Does VCT 2025: Pacific Stage 1 Start?

VCT 2025: Pacific Stage 1 is scheduled to start on Saturday, March 22, with the first round of the group stage.

The league will run for just under two weeks and conclude with the grand finals on Sunday, May 11, 2025.

VCT 2025: Pacific Stage 1 Format

VCT 2025: Pacific Stage 1 will use a different format compared to the season-opening Kickoff tournament, now dividing the competition into two stages: the group stage and the playoffs.

All 12 VALORANT teams will begin in the group stage, where they get seeded into two groups based on their placement in the Kickoff event.

Each single-round robin group will feature six teams and all games are played as best-of-three (BO3). The top four teams will advance to the playoffs, with higher-placed squads securing a more favourable seeding.

Winners will advance to the upper bracket semifinals, while the second- and third-placed teams will proceed to the upper bracket round 1. Fourth-placed teams will advance to the lower bracket round 1, whereas the bottom two get eliminated.

VCT 2025: Pacific Stage 1 will welcome all 12 VALORANT teams who participated in the VCT Kickoff event, including 10 partnered teams, Ascension 2024 champions, Nongshim RedForce, and replacement invite BOOM Esports.

VCT 2025: Pacific Stage 1 Prize Pool

Tournament organisers have not revealed any prize pool for VCT 2025: Pacific Stage 1. Instead, the tournament will serve as a qualifying event for VALORANT Masters Toronto 2025, where the world’s best 12 VALORANT esports teams will battle it out for the lion’s share of the $1,000,000 prize pool.

Teams attending VCT 2025: Pacific Stage 1 will also compete for VCT Points, used to determine invites to VALORANT Champions 2025 and which teams will receive a direct bye to Stage 2.

According to the outright markets, VCT 2025: Pacific Stage 1 has a few strong title contenders, including T1 and DRX, who are billed as the main favourites, both priced at 3.25 to win the event.

Neither have made any roster changes ahead of Stage 1 and are unlikely to lose their status as Pacific’s top dogs.

Paper Rex are a surprise appearance at the top of the outright markets, as they did not have the best start to the season, finishing the Kickoff event in seventh-eighth.
