  • City’s Jamie Maclaren has scored 10 goals in his last 8 matches (A-League).

Head to Head

Central Coast have a 12-11 advantage with seven draws in 30 matches.

The last encounter saw Central Coast record a thrilling 3-2 victory. After falling two goals behind, the Mariners staged a second half comeback with midfielder Daniel De Silva scoring an 80th minute winner.

Melbourne City Form

Melbourne City have shot into title contention after four straight wins.

A Jamie Maclaren doubled helped his side onto a 2-0 win away to the Western Sydney Wanderers, before City recorded its greatest win yet.

The club punished rivals Melbourne Victory 6-0 in the derby, with midfielder Connor Metcalfe scoring a five minute brace while Maclaren also scored.

City then saw off Macarthur after scoring three times inside 15 minutes to clinch a 3-0 win. Maclaren scored a second brace in three weeks, while ex-Bolton winger Craig Noone also contributed to the scoresheet.

Melbourne City Injuries & Team News

Midfielder Adrian Luna is out with a hamstring injury, while ex-Burnley attacker Aiden O’Neill is still recovering from a back problem.

Jamie Maclaren is in prime position to take home his second straight golden boot, with the Socceroo scoring 10 goals this season.

Central Coast Mariners Form

The Mariners continue to go from strength-to-strength as they sit atop of the competition.

Following their 3-2 loss to Adelaide, they bounced back in style to record a 2-1 away to Perth. Captain Matt Simon opened the scoring before midfielder Marcos Urena added the final blow midway through the second half.

A 2-0 win against Macarthur followed with Simon once again scoring, while debutant Matthew Hatch netted his first professional goal to seal the win.

The Mariners would then share the points in a 2-2 draw with Perth in their second meeting. A 90th minute penalty slotted away by Simon ensured the Mariners walked away a point.

Central Coast Mariners Injuries & Team News

Defender Lewis Miller will be sidelined once again due to illness, with this being Central Coast’s only injury.
