Wellington have been involved in several high scoring affairs recently while Perth possess plenty of firepower up front themselves. Glory striker Bruno Fornaroli also has a solid record against the Phoenix.

Head to Head

Perth have a 20-15 advantage against Wellington in the head-to-head with eight draws in 43 matches.

Wellington stormed home to record a 3-0 win in their last encounter. Midfielder Reno Piscopo opened the scoring before forwards Ben Waine and David Ball sealed the victory.

Perth Glory Form

Perth Glory return home after an unsuccessful three straight away matches.

The Glory suffered a 2-0 defeat away to Macarthur before going down 1-0 to reigning champions Sydney FC.

They managed to rescue a point against the Newcastle Jets in a 1-1 draw. Midfielder Joel Chianese opened the scoring just after the break, with the Jets responding just minutes later.

Perth Glory Injuries & Team News

Winger Chris Ikonomidis made his long-awaited return from a knee injury in last Tuesday’s draw with Newcastle.

The Glory will be without captain Diego Castro due to a knee injury, as well as striker Nick D’Agostino who is nursing a hamstring issue.

Wellington Phoenix Form

Wellington have had an ambivalent few weeks in the league.

The Phoenix suffered a 1-0 loss at home to Macarthur before going down 3-2 to Melbourne City.

Strikers Tomer Hemed and Ulises Davila were on target for the Phoenix in the five-goal thriller.

Wellington returned home to New Zealand and to the winners list with a 3-2 win against Western United.

Davila was again on target, as was winger Jaushua Sotirio. With the score locked at 2-2 forward Ben Waine scored a dramatic 90th minute goal to win the match for his side.

Wellington Phoenix Injuries & Team News

Defender Luke DeVere is still out with a knee injury.

Midfielder Reno Piscopo will also miss the match due to injury.
