Head To Head

The Mariners defeated Sydney 2-1 back in Round 7, but the Sky Blues were reduced to 10 men in the opening half. Sydney are unbeaten in five of their last six home games against Central Coast.

Sydney FC Form

Things haven't gone exactly to plan to start the season for Sydney, but they are beginning to hit their stride - thanks in part to Joe Lolley's outstanding form.

Lolley scored his first A-League hat-trick in Wednesday night's 3-0 victory over Perth Glory, taking his season-tally to eight goals from nine games.

With a 3-0 win over rivals Melbourne Victory also fresh in their minds, Sydney will be confident of securing another three points and potentially climbing into the top six after Round 13.

Sydney FC Team News

Douglas Costa will remain sidelined for at least another month with a hamstring injury.

Central Coast Mariners Form

The Mariners have had a tough season after winning back-to-back Grand Finals in the previous two years.

Central Coast are currently languishing in ninth spot on the ladder, winning just three of their 11 games this A-League campaign.

However, the Mariners should be confident heading into this clash, drawing 1-1 with second-placed Melbourne City and defeating Brisbane Roar 3-1 in their last two outings.

Central Coast Mariners Team News

English striker Ryan Edmunson is set to return from injury for this encounter.

Verdict

Sydney are starting to find their groove and Joe Lolley is in spectacular form heading into this contest. I'm backing Sydney to prevail at home with both teams finding the back of the net.
