Despite failing to win promotion from J2 League this season after finishing eighth, Kofu impressed in the ACL group stages.

Ulsan Hyundai's experience in the AFC Champions League showed as they claimed a 3-0 first leg lead in this tie last week.

A first-half doubled from Joo Min-Kyu and a second-half goal from Seol Young-Woo gave the K-League side a commanding advantage.

Hong Myung-Bo's side hadn't played since December when finishing second in Group I following a closing 2-2 draw with group winners Kawasaki Frontale.
