Their most recent fixtures have been in the CHAN tournament which only allows domestically-based players. They reached the quarter-finals before a 1-0 loss to Algeria.

Dortmund forward Sebastien Haller has been recalled after recovering from Cancer. Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha has been left out. 

Barcelona’s Franck Kessie is the key man in midfield. Winger Amad Diallo is included after nine goals on loan at Sunderland this season.

Comoros Form


The Indian Ocean nation began AFCON 2023 qualifiers by beating Lesotho 2-0. A 2-1 defeat to Zambia followed in their second fixture in mid-2022.

They’ve since played three COSAFA Cup matches, finishing third in their group with two losses and a 2-1 win vs Seychelles in South Africa. In the CHAN qualifying round, they lost 1-0 at home to South Africa and draw 0-0 away (1-0 loss on aggregate).

Comoros played two friendlies in September’s FIFA break. They lost 1-0 to Tunisia and 2-1 versus Burkina Faso.

Coach Younes Zerdouk called up an entire squad of foreign-based players, with 13 of those playing in France. Cyprus-based striker El Fardou Ben has 17 goals for his country.
